SongFromShorts.com is an informational and analytical song identification service. The Service:
- Accepts YouTube Short and video URLs submitted by users.
- Extracts a brief audio segment from the publicly accessible YouTube content.
- Compares the audio against a database of published songs using audio fingerprinting technology.
- Returns identification results including song title, artist, album, cover art, audio preview, and links to streaming platforms.
SongFromShorts.com does not host, store, or redistribute any audio or video content from YouTube.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.
- Each individual may maintain only one account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- The Service operates on a per-use credit system. Each song identification consumes credits.
- Credits are purchased through credit packages or subscription plans. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Credit packages are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Subscription credits reset at each billing cycle and do not roll over.
- Prices are listed on our Pricing page and may be updated with reasonable notice.
- Refunds for unused credits are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.
- If a song identification fails due to a system error, credits are automatically refunded to your account.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Submit URLs to content you do not have the right to access.
- Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond normal individual use.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or copy the song recognition technology or database.
- Circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or other usage restrictions.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute identification results without authorization.
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
- Our Service: The SongFromShorts.com platform, including its design, code, branding, and audio fingerprinting technology, is our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service.
- Identification Results: The song identification results (song title, artist, album, links) are provided for your personal informational use. The underlying music, lyrics, and recordings remain the property of their respective copyright holders.
- No License to Music: Using SongFromShorts.com to identify a song does not grant you any license to the identified music. Streaming, downloading, or using the identified music is subject to the terms of the respective streaming platforms and copyright law.
SongFromShorts.com processes publicly accessible YouTube content. By submitting a URL, you represent and warrant that:
- The YouTube content you submit is publicly available.
- Your use of the Service complies with YouTube's Terms of Service.
- You are not using the Service to facilitate copyright infringement.
SongFromShorts.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube or Google LLC. We process content that is already publicly accessible on the YouTube platform.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not guarantee:
- That every song submission will produce an identification result.
- The accuracy, completeness, or correctness of identification results.
- Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service.
- The availability or accuracy of streaming platform links provided in results.
Song identification accuracy depends on audio clarity, background noise, the presence of the track in commercial music databases, and other factors beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for actions you take based on identification results, including purchasing or streaming music.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SongFromShorts.com, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice.
- Adjust pricing, credit policies, or subscription terms with advance notice to active subscribers.
- Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that may temporarily affect availability.
